Founder & Chairman
Tracey Westbrook is passionate about fresh food, but even more passionate about creating innovative ways to build a better community. An entrepreneur at heart, she loves to connect people, opportunities and ideas. Through her experiences as a trustee with The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, she knew there was a need for new food resources in our community. Rather than start a small-scale operation, she decided to start a commercially scaled farm that can demonstrate alternative approaches to traditional farming and provide a platform to host collaborations with partners across the region. Previously, Tracey was an executive of King Provision Corp. where she created King Uniform, the primary uniform distributor for Burger King.
CEO & President
Susan King is a partner in Atlantic Beach Urban Farms. She brings a wealth of knowledge in financial management and a deep understanding of the food inequities that exist in our communities. Susan is a CPA who has spent three decades in financial management and accounting. Most recently, she spent six years as the executive director of a nonprofit organization providing emergency assistance to people in need. In that role, she developed two client-choice food pantries, a 6,500-square-foot, raised-bed organic garden to support the pantry operations, and the Beaches Community Food Bank which distributes more than 750,000 pounds of food annually. After seeing first-hand the way low-income families struggle to access healthy food, she is committed to changing the paradigm so that healthy, locally grown produce that nourishes the body and the spirit is available to all.
Greenhouse and Community Relations Manager
Eleanor Perry comes to Atlantic Beach Urban Farms with a unique set of skills: teaching and developing programing for children and gardening and landscape design. Eleanor oversees all aspects of growing in our greenhouse. She also will lead our efforts to teach and train the community in aeroponic urban farming and the benefits of locally grown food. Eleanor will work with nonprofits, schools, community organizations and households to help individuals and families implement and maintain their own urban gardens.
